Charlesbank Capital Partners is a 17-year-old private equity firm making middle-market investments in US companies. We invest across a range of industries, backing skilled management teams to acquire and build fundamentally sound businesses. Our senior team has worked together for more than a decade; since 1991 we have invested approximately $1.8 billion in more than 50 companies, developing a record of consistent, superior results through several economic cycles.

For many years, our group managed an investment portfolio solely for Harvard University. In 2000, we broadened our investor base to many other institutional clients, which today include public and corporate pension funds, banks, insurance companies, endowments and family offices from the US, Canada, Europe and the Far East. With substantial capital, Charlesbank is actively seeking new investment opportunities.

Led by our nine managing directors, Charlesbank has an experienced staff with a long history of working together. The team’s talent and diverse backgrounds bring a range of expertise to our investing activities and fund administration. We have 40 employees, with offices in Boston and New York.
