Kim Davis Managing Director (New York office)
Prior to co-founding Charlesbank in 1998, Kim was a managing director of Harvard Private Capital Group, the firm's predecessor. He joined Harvard Private Capital in 1997, having worked with the principals since a joint investment in 1992. Previously, Kim was at Kohlberg & Co. as general partner and at Weiss, Peck & Greer as partner. He also held various positions at General Motors and Dyson-Kissner-Moran.
Kim serves on the boards of Blacksmith Brands, CSI Leasing, Horn Industrial Services, National Surgical Hospitals, Southcross Energy, Tecomet and Zenith Products. He was appointed by President Clinton to the Baltic-America Enterprise Fund and served as the interim CEO of the Czech and Slovak American Enterprise Fund. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former vice chairman of the Harvard College Fund. Kim graduated from Harvard University with a BA in history and an MBA.
Kim and his wife live in Manhattan and have two grown children.
