Andrew Janower
Managing Director
AJ joined Harvard Private Capital Group, the predecessor to Charlesbank, in 1996. He was appointed a managing director of Charlesbank in 2002.
AJ’s previous experience includes working as a research associate in entrepreneurial finance at the Harvard Business School and as a consultant at Bain & Company, where he focused on industrial and consumer products, business services and distribution.
AJ earned a BS in economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard University with Baker Scholar honors. He is also a CPA.
AJ is a native of Newton, MA, where he currently lives with his wife and family. AJ is an avid Boston sports fan and skier.
