Caitlin Riederer Named in Buyouts’ “Women in PE Class of 2023”

Caitlin Riederer has been named to Buyouts‘ “Women in PE Class of 2023,” in recognition of her efforts to promote women in the private equity industry.

As a Vice President at middle-market investment firm Charlesbank Capital Partners, Caitlin leads its women’s network and assists with analyst recruiting initiatives.

“Raising awareness of career opportunities in investing is a key first step in building a diverse talent pipeline,” said Caitlin. “Also critical are mentorship, sponsorship and professional development opportunities, as well as crafting thoughtful policies (such as parental leave) to help retain women.”

Caitlin believes in promoting a spirit of collaboration among women across the industry. She contributes to various PE networks and organizations, including the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity (WAVE), where she co-chairs the New York Steering Committee.

She first joined Charlesbank in 2016, before leaving to pursue her MBA at Harvard Business School (HBS). She rejoined the firm in 2020. While at HBS, Caitlin interviewed more than 60 women in leadership positions across the finance industry. “While the percentage of women in leadership positions is far too low, there are countless examples of successful female leaders in finance. It was tremendously inspiring to learn how these women blazed their own trails and to hear their advice for the next generation.”

Caitlin is a Vice President at Charlesbank, focusing on Technology and Technology Infrastructure investments.
