Searchlight Cyber is a global dark web intelligence company, primarily serving enterprise cybersecurity professionals, managed security service providers, and government and law enforcement agencies across Europe and North America. Searchlight’s user-friendly platform provides mission-critical dark web intelligence to meet a core need: helping customers both detect and prevent cybercrime. Since it was founded in 2017, Searchlight has supported some of the world’s largest dark web investigations.

Charlesbank Investment

Charlesbank’s Technology Opportunities team invested in Searchlight in 2024, the result of a focused, multi-year thematic initiative in threat intelligence in particular, and cybersecurity more broadly. We acquired a majority interest, with the co-founders remaining significant shareholders in the business. We are excited by the opportunity to invest in the growing threat intelligence market, and we plan to leverage our deep domain expertise and experience scaling software companies to help Searchlight grow its business organically as well as through acquisitions.
