Sherif partners with leaders across our portfolio to identify and deliver on strategic opportunities for value creation. His work spans a variety of initiatives including digital transformation, operational and supply chain efficiency, and M&A integration and optimization.
Sherif joined Charlesbank as an Advisory Director in 2025, bringing over 20 years’ experience leading strategic innovation and implementing advanced technologies, including AI, machine learning and advanced analytics, for clients across a range of industries. He was previously a Partner in Data & AI at EY, where he led teams to develop, commercialize and patent AI-powered client solutions. Prior to that, Sherif led the cognitive supply chain practice at IBM. Earlier in his career, Sherif worked with financial institutions, focusing on large scale operations and technology deployments.

Personal
Sherif was born and raised in Montreal. He is a lifetime fan of the Montreal Canadiens and a coach for his son’s youth hockey team. During his spare time, he enjoys playing music and hosting dinners for friends and family. Sherif also serves on the external advisory committee of the Data Science Institute of the University of Toronto.
