William Karlson

Vice President, Portfolio Resources

William works closely with management and investment teams across the portfolio to develop and execute value creation initiatives, including accelerating growth, improving operations and integrating M&A.

William joined Charlesbank in 2025 as a Vice President on the Portfolio Resources team. He was previously a Principal at Riverside Partners, where he spent over a decade focusing on technology and healthcare investments. While at Riverside, he served on the board of Convergence Networks and worked closely with management for portfolio companies including Net32, BioAgilytix, Eliassen Group, Pilgrim Quality Solutions and R&D Altanova. William began his career as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, where he advised blue-chip technology, healthcare and consumer clients.

William lives in Boston with his spouse. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, skiing, traveling, wine tasting and playing strategy board games with friends.
