Alan is an Advisory Director for the Technology Opportunities team.

Alan joined Charlesbank in 2025, bringing over 25 years’ experience leading and driving growth in companies. He previously served as CEO of Legacy.com, where he guided the company through a successful turnaround and rapid growth, culminating in its 2024 sale from Pamplona Capital Management to TSG Consumer. He began his career at American Express, spending close to ten years there before later joining The Economist Group, Gartner and Newsweek Media. Alan currently sits on the board of Clerri.

Personal

Alan grew up in the suburbs of New York and now calls the city home. Outside of the office, he enjoys catching a Yankees or Knicks game, running in Central Park, golfing, hiking with his family in the Berkshires, cooking and playing the viola. He is on the board of the Executive Committee at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue.
